ROMANTIC FOOLS
a comic vaudeville by Rich Orloff
(1 m., 1 w.)
“A side-splitting new comedy. You’ll ache from non-stop laughing.”
Show Business Weekly
ROMANTIC FOOLS is “a comic vaudeville”, a revue of 12 two-character sketches examining love, lust, dating and romance. Showing the influences of Monty Python, Saturday Night Live, Jules Feiffer, the Marx Brothers, and classic vaudeville comedy, these sketches vary widely in style, but they all celebrate the inherent farce of male-female relationships.
Originally produced at the 2002 Key West Theatre Festival, ROMANTIC FOOLS has since been produced at the Foolish Theatre Company (New York City), In Tandem Theatre (Milwaukee), Theatre Conspiracy (Fort Myers, Florida), Shadowland Theatre (the Catskills), Stage East (Maine), Grand Theatre Company (Colorado), Theatre Du Jour (Minnesota), Theatre B (Fargo, North Dakota) and elsewhere, and internationally at Mandurah Little Theatre (Australia), Compagnia Primavera (Rome), Pan Teatar (Belgrade) and The Hebrew Theatre (Israel).
