GUY STUFF
a new comedy by Rich Orloff

In September, 1979, a young man just out of college moves in with four
guys who share a group house in a Chicago suburb. The newcomer is
cautious, introspective, highly judgmental, and insecure in his manhood.
The other guys are loud, selfish, fraternity-types who enjoy beer,
drugs, female mud wrestling, and watching crap on TV. Although the
newcomer judges them harshly, they seem to have a lot more fun than he
does.
A cross between THE ODD COUPLE and ANIMAL HOUSE, Rich Orloff’s new play
GUY STUFF is a comic exploration of the questions young men face about
male identity, set at a time when the roles of both men and women were
changing, and the rules were no longer as clear as they once had been.
GUY STUFF has been developed at University of West Florida’s New Voices
festival and the Lark Theatre Company in New York. It has not yet been
produced.
